| In a story point from the film,
R2's brother Robbie Dillingham (played by ILM Modelmaker Robbie Edwards)
relates how the rift between R2 and his father began. You see,
R2's father was a mounted policeman, and he was disappointed that R2
could not ride a horse, thus preventing him from entering the long
standing family tradition of mounted policemen. by the end of the
film, R2, the plucky little droid that he is, was able to overcome
his shortcomings and ride off into the sunset. As originally
scripted, this was to be the last image of the film. |
While Lynn Huffaker steadies the steed, Fon Davis and Grant Imahara steady the droid. Shot on location at Skywalker Ranch.
