| In the film, Carrie Fisher refers
to the horrible agent that R2-D2 used after his success in the original
"Star Wars". Here's how we did it: |
The Great Spielberg Cover-up
In this photo from "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom", Steven Spielberg (left) and George Lucas weigh some heavy decision. Former ILM Modelmaker and current Mythbuster Salvatore Bellicci portrays R2's sleazy agent. Former ILM modelmaker and current Mythbuster Grant Imahara stands in for George Lucas. The agent is isolated from the background and the color removed to match the original image. It was decided not to use Mr. Spielberg, so this mask was created by cloning and copying the surrounding area. Once all the elements are composited together in Photoshop, George's thrilled expression tells the whole story.
